Background

I had been on five cruises prior to meeting my wife, Lisa who, hopefully, will also be contributing to this blog from time to time. I talked her into going on a cruise in 1998 and she has been hooked since. My son is also hooked. His first cruise was in 2000 at the age of 6. He is now 13 and has been on five cruises so far and he has loved them all.

Recently I've had a "thing" for the really huge ships out there. Out of the last 5 cruises we've been on, 4 of the ships have been the largest in the world at the time of our sailing. I'm just amazed by the technology and design behind building these "cities at sea". The amount of activities and amenities on board are overwhelming especially compared to what they were on my first cruise over 20 years ago. I cant wait to see what the future of cruising holds
