Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, Disney Dream, is currently under construction at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. This week they completed construction of her hull by adding the final bow section to the ship. That means that she is now ready for floating out and for work to begin on her interior spaces.
Disney Dream will feature the industry's first water coaster at sea called the AquaDuck as well as a restaurant that transforms to an undersea atmosphere and inside cabins with virtual "portholes" that are actually LCD screens and can show an outside view of the ocean along with some clever animated friends. For adults, there will be an entertainment district onboard just for them.
Disney Dream is scheduled to make her maiden voyage on January 26, 2011 from Port Canaveral. She will begin with 3 and 4 night Bahamas cruises and then in summer 2011 she will switch to 4 and 5 night trips.
