Royal Caribbean Rolling Out Oasis Upgrades To Fleet
According to Cruise Critic, Royal Caribbean will be spending over $300 million over the next 3 years to bring many of the latest amenities featured on their Oasis Class to much of the rest of their fleet. The program is already underway with Radiance of the Seas having been upgraded in May. Next up will be Splendour of the Seas in November, Rhapsody of the Seas in March 2012, Grandeur of the Seas in May 2012, and Serenade of the Seas in November 2012.
Following that in 2013 and 2014, Royal Caribbean will continue the upgrades with Vision, Legend, Navigator, Voyager, Explorer, Adventure, and Brilliance. There are also less extensive updates scheduled to Independence, Mariner, and Enchantment. Liberty and Freedom have also recently been to drydock and received many Oasis updates.
Included in the upgrades are new dining choices like the Park Cafe, Boardwalk Doghouse, Izumi, Chops Grille, and Rita's Cantina. For families, the line will add the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery along with family cabins. Also, the ships will get WI-FI, flat panel TVs, computerized info kiosks, and poolside video walls.
