Quick Review: Majesty of the Seas, July 2016

This cruise was a departure for us on a couple of levels.  It was a short 3 day, weekend cruise and Majesty is, by far, the oldest ship we had ever been on.  We were looking for something to do for our anniversary so we decided a short Bahamas cruise would fit the bill.

Majesty, built in 1992, was at one time one of the largest cruise ships in the world.  Now she is pretty much average if not on the small side (only 880' in length☺).  I have to say, though, that she has held up quite well.  I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the ship.  Now, of course, she doesn't have all the amenities and features of the more modern ships but, in all, it was a fun weekend.

Majesty's pool area.

Hits:

  • Ship was clean and very well maintained.
  • Very fun atmosphere on these short weekend Bahamas cruises.

Misses:
  • Majesty is an old girl and she lacks the tons of activities and amenities of the most modern ships out there.
