Quick Review: Harmony of the Seas, November 2016

Here it is, the big one!  We were so excited when Harmony was announced so we jumped on the chance to book as soon as we could.  We booked while onboard Freedom in February 2016 and we were able to get on one of the first sailings on Harmony from Florida.

Having already been on Allure, we sort of knew what to expect from the Oasis Class of ships but Harmony far exceeded our expectations.  Royal Caribbean has melded the best of the Oasis ships with features from the Quantum ships and the result is fantastic.  This ship did not disappoint.

Looking out at Boardwalk.

Hits:

  1. Virtual inside balcony cabin.  We thought this might be sort of gimmicky but it really was nice.  Not just the video screen showing the "virtual balcony" but the entire layout and design of the cabin was fantastic.  For an inside cabin, it was quite spacious and there was plenty of storage available,  The decor was also very nice.  Reminded us of a boutique hotel in South Beach.
  2. Water slides.  I'm not much of a water slide guy but they were a lot of fun and a great addition to the ship.  They have proven to be very popular with guests too,  They were always busy.
  3. The Ultimate Abyss.  Very cool.  Loads of fun and the quickest way to get from the sports deck to Boardwalk.
  4. The Aquatheater show, The Fine Line.  Outstanding show.  We thought the Aquatheater show on Allure was good, this was simply amazing.
